Payment Information
All payment processing is handled by Paystack, our certified payment partner. AAWF does not collect, store, or have access to your card details, MoMo PINs, or full bank account numbers. Please refer to Paystack's Privacy Policy at paystack.com/privacy for how they handle payment data.
We use personal information only for legitimate purposes related to AAWF's humanitarian mission:
- To process your donation and send you a receipt and confirmation.
- To maintain records of donations for financial transparency and accountability.

- To send you newsletters, program updates, and impact reports — only if you have subscribed.
- To improve our website functionality and user experience.

When you make a donation to AAWF, the following applies:
- Your donation amount, type (e.g. Zakat, Sadaqah, General), and date are recorded for our financial records and transparency reporting.
- All payment transactions are processed securely by Paystack Ghana (PCI-DSS compliant). We receive a transaction reference and confirmation status — not your raw card or MoMo details.
- If you donate anonymously, your name will not appear in any public-facing materials, but we may retain your email for receipt purposes.
- Donation records may be retained for up to 7 years in accordance with Ghanaian financial regulations.
- We may publish aggregated, anonymised donation statistics (e.g. "₵50,000 raised for orphan support") but will never identify individual donors without explicit permission.
Zakat & Sadaqah: Funds designated as Zakat are handled with strict adherence to Islamic guidelines and distributed only to eligible recipients (the eight Asnaf). AAWF maintains transparent records of all Islamic giving.
AAWF does not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share your data only in the following limited circumstances:
- Payment processors: Paystack receives necessary transaction data to process your donation securely.
- Email service providers: If you subscribe to our newsletter, your email may be stored on a third-party mailing platform (e.g. Mailchimp) solely to send you communications you have requested.
- Legal compliance: We may disclose information if required by Ghanaian law, a court order, or a regulatory authority (e.g. the Ghana Revenue Authority for financial compliance).
- Partner NGOs: With your explicit consent only, we may share contact details with partner organisations working on joint programs.
All third-party service providers are contractually bound to handle your data securely and only for the purpose for which it was shared.
