By accessing or using the AL-AMEEN Welfare Foundation website (www.aawf.org), making a donation, subscribing to our newsletter, or interacting with any of our services, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms").

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our website or services. These Terms apply to all visitors, donors, volunteers, and any other users of the website.

AL-AMEEN Welfare Foundation (AAWF) is a registered, non-profit Islamic charitable organisation in Ghana. Key details:

AAWF operates under an official Constitution signed in June 2024, which governs our leadership, objectives, and financial management. A copy of our Constitution is available for download on our website.

You agree to use the AAWF website only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. By using our website, you agree that:

• You are at least 18 years of age, or accessing the site with the consent and supervision of a parent or guardian.
• You will not use the site in any way that violates applicable Ghanaian or international laws or regulations.
• You will not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the website, server, or network connected to the website.
• You will not use automated tools (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to extract data from the site without our prior written permission.
• You will not post, transmit, or share any content that is harmful, offensive, false, or misleading.

AAWF reserves the right to restrict or terminate access to the website for any user who violates these Terms, at our sole discretion and without prior notice.

All donations made through our website are subject to the following terms:

Donation Processing

• Donations are processed securely through Paystack Ghana, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. By donating, you also agree to Paystack's Terms of Service.
• Accepted payment methods include: MTN Mobile Money, Telecel Cash, AirtelTigo Money, Visa, and Mastercard.
• All donations are denominated in Ghana Cedis (GHS).
• A minimum donation amount of GHS 1.00 applies.

Use of Donations

• All donations received by AAWF are used strictly for humanitarian, community support, and organisational projects as defined in our mission and programs.
• AAWF maintains full financial transparency. Donation usage is periodically reported to donors and the public through our website and social media channels.
• Donations designated for specific programs (e.g. Orphan Support, Food Donations) will be allocated to those programs. In the event that a program is suspended, designated funds will be redirected to the most closely related active program.

Receipts & Confirmation

• Upon successful payment, a donation receipt will be sent to the email address you provided.
• Please retain this receipt for your records. AAWF is not responsible for receipts lost due to incorrect email addresses provided at the time of donation.

AAWF accepts Zakat (obligatory charity) and Sadaqah (voluntary charity) in accordance with Islamic principles. The following terms apply specifically to Islamic giving:

• AAWF distributes Zakat funds only to eligible recipients from the eight categories (Asnaf) as defined in the Quran (Surah At-Tawbah, 9:60).
• By designating a donation as "Zakat", you confirm that you have calculated and verified your Zakat obligation and that you authorise AAWF to distribute it on your behalf.
• AAWF is not responsible for determining your personal Zakat obligation. We recommend consulting a qualified Islamic scholar for Zakat calculation.
• Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity) contributions will be directed to sustainable, long-term projects such as educational programs or community infrastructure.
• AAWF will not use Zakat funds for operational or administrative expenses. Zakat is exclusively used for beneficiary welfare.

As a charitable organisation, AAWF generally does not offer refunds on completed donations. However, we understand that errors can occur, and we handle refund requests on a case-by-case basis.

Grounds for Refund

• Duplicate transactions (you were charged more than once for the same donation).
• Technical errors resulting in incorrect amounts being charged.
• Fraudulent use of your payment method without your authorisation.

Refund Process

• To request a refund, contact us at info@aawf.org within 7 days of the transaction, providing your full name, email address, transaction reference number, and reason for the request.
• AAWF will review all refund requests within 14 business days.
• Approved refunds will be processed via the original payment method through Paystack.

All content on the AAWF website — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, program descriptions, blog articles, the AAWF name and logo, and the overall website design — is the intellectual property of AL-AMEEN Welfare Foundation and is protected under applicable Ghanaian and international copyright laws.

• You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, create derivative works, or commercially exploit any content from this website without prior written permission from AAWF.
• Sharing our content on social media for non-commercial, awareness-raising purposes is permitted, provided you clearly attribute the content to AAWF and include a link to our website.
• Our Constitution, program descriptions, and official documents remain the exclusive property of AAWF even when made available for download.

The AAWF website and all content, services, and materials are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the total amount you donated to AAWF in the 12 months preceding the claim.

The following conduct is strictly prohibited when using the AAWF website or services:

• Using the website to make fraudulent donations using stolen or unauthorised payment methods.
• Impersonating AAWF, its executives, or representatives online or in any communication.
• Submitting false, misleading, or defamatory information through our contact or donation forms.
• Attempting to hack, disrupt, or interfere with the website's operation or security.
• Using our name, logo, or brand in any way that falsely implies endorsement or affiliation.
• Soliciting donations on behalf of AAWF without our express written authorisation.

AAWF reserves the right to report any suspected illegal activity to the appropriate Ghanaian authorities.

Your privacy is important to us. The collection, use, and protection of your personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms an integral part of these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ghana, without regard to its conflict of law principles.

Any disputes arising out of or in connection with these Terms, including any questions regarding their existence, validity, or termination, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ghana.

We encourage users to contact us directly to resolve any disputes amicably before pursuing formal legal action.

AAWF reserves the right to revise these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon being posted to this page, and the "Last Updated" date will be revised accordingly.

For material changes — particularly those affecting donation terms or user rights — we will notify subscribers by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
